Hammerheads Youth Academy

Your club leadership is always working to provide excellent opportunities for its participants. Over the past 24 months we have been engaged with clubs in Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, SC to organize a regional entity that can secure a US Soccer Development Academy appointment. Initially organized as FC Coast, we are proud to announce the new entity as the Hammerheads Youth Academy under the successful Wilmington Hammerheads Professional Soccer franchise.
OCSA will have a seat on the Board of Directors of the Youth Academy along with Caper Fear Soccer, Port City Soccer and Coast Futbol Alliance (Myrtle Beach, SC). The club DOCs will be included in the Board makeup.
For 2009 the Hammerheads Youth Academy will consist of three teams, U13, U15 and U17 boys. Girls teams will be addressed next year. The boys program will be summer/holiday league and tournament competition that will coexist with each of the player's respective club programs.
We are excited about the relationship we have developed with regard to our Wilmington and Myrtle Beach friends. We look forward to the opportunities the Hammerheads Youth Academy will provide for our participants.

Parent, Player, Coach Letter - Overview and background information regarding the organization of the Academy.
Summer Youth Academy Program
Player Fee: $300. Includes player registration, league registration, coaching and your Hammerhead kit fees.
Tryout Fee: $20. Combine (Tryouts). The summer program is for current U12 through U17 player pool. Tryout out date is May 30th at Legion Field in Wilmington. Training: One evening in Wilmington each week plus local training (i.e. OCSA players @ Tabernacle, etc.) with a designated lead trainer.
League: The Youth Academy teams will compete in the North Division of the Southeast Regional League. North Division clubs are CASL, Beach FC, Annandale/McLean United, Calvert SA, NOVA and Hammerheads Academy. South Division clubs are Charlotte United, GA/SC Bulls, Atlanta SA, ASG Florida, BUSA, Atlanta Fire United and Twin City.
