May 28, 2008 - OCSA GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
The Tabernacle Soccer Complex, which opened in August, hosted the N.C. Youth Soccer U.S. Youth Soccer State Cup Preliminary Tournament the weekend of May 3 and the NCYSA Challenge Cup Preliminary Tournament the weekend of May 10. More than 60 teams traveled to the area to compete at the complex for the State Cup events, and more than 70 teams competed in the Challenge Cup. Click HERE to read the article from JD News.
May 27, 2008 - OCSA ANNOUNCEMENT
Best of luck to Bruce Talbot and family on their future endeavors. Bruce will be leaving OCSA to join the Lonestar SC staff in Austin, TX. OCSA wishes Bruce, Lisa, Connor, Ryan, and Patrick much success and happiness in Texas. Current OCSA Assistant DOC's, Jim Wright and Mike Otto, will assume the DOC duties of OCSA moving forward. OCSA thanks the members for their support and their dedication to the success of our organization.

December 9, 2007 - OCSA ADDS TWO NEW STAFF MEMBERS
OCSA is pleased to announce the addition of two staff coaches. Jim Wright and Mike Otto will be joining our professional coaching staff in January as staff coaches.
Mike is currently the Director of Coaching and Player Development at Gaston United Soccer Club. He is entering 7th year as member of summer staff, University of North Carolina Soccer Camp. From 1998 until 2005 Mike was a CASL staff coach and facilities staff. He holds a USSF C, NSCAA National Diploma & Advanced National Diploma.
Jim is currently an Assistant Director of Coaching for the Richmond Strikers Soccer Club in Richmond, VA. He previously was a volunteer Assistant Coach UNC Charlotte the Men's Assistant Coach Davidson College, as well as a Staff Coach for CASL (NC), & Director of Coaching VA CASL. He played collegiate soccer at Davidson College. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Davidson College and a M.B.A Vanderbilt University. Jim holds a USSF A License and NSCAA Premier Diploma.

BRUCE TALBOT'S SOCCER
TIPS
Onslow
Classic Soccer Association is introducing Bruce Talbots
Soccer TIPS Program. The TIPS program will emphasize
creating a positive and fun learning environment. The
program will allow young players to experience a higher
level of training and player development under the guidance
of OCSAs professional staff coaches. Concentration on
establishing basic skills including shooting, passing, and
dribbling then building on these skills. Players will
train and learn the latest trends in running, balance and
coordination training. Technical application of the game
through constant repetition and dynamic movements will be
incorporated. Small-sided games incorporating team
work and individual decision making allow player
development. Cost is $45.00 for 5 sessions.
Tuesday sessions begin September 25 from 4:30 PM 5:30
PM or select Friday sessions that begin September 28
from 6:30 PM 7:30 PM. All sessions will be held at the
Tabernacle Soccer Complex. For information please call
